How to send messages to all users who are connected over a particular p2p network and I would like to get the acknowledgement automatically.

Is this possible? What is the mechanism?

Do you mean to the people or are you just trying to ping the whole network to
guess at it's size?

There is no way to broadcast any message to all the people using
gnutella. Even the few types of servent that do have chat capability are
designed for one-to-one private conversations and you will never be able to
get a message through to the ones which have this limited capability turned off.

If you're still just thinking of surveying the whole network you will have to look
up the specifications for designing a crawler and write your own, because
nobody is going to help you until you prove you are willing to learn everything
you need to know in order to do that without disrupting the network.

You seem to have asked the same question here: http://slyck.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22839

What are your intentions?

If you check the past few days on this forum you can take a pretty good guess what he's thinking. ;]
