i think it would be very nice to have a skin builder for users. this could include previews of what the loading screen and main screen would look like and colors that you could change them to. you could also have a skin section of searches and downloads/uploads where others could share the skin they made with other people. this could be put in both pro and free versions so more people would be able to enjoy limewire even more so. i would really like to hear what you guys think of this and maybe the team could take it into mind. thanks.

i understand that creating my own skin is possible and i actually think its not that hard, but it would be nice to actually have a program that does the work of changing the color codes for you. i have made a few skins and it took a little too much time then i wanted. thanks for the link anyway but i was suggesting an actual program.

What I did before I got started with my skins was take a screen shot of Limewire and brought the screen shot into Photoshop which allowed me to get a base starting point and idea of which direction to take the design.

Then before I started changing the code I put the generic theme with the name I specified my_theme.lwtp in place and made a shortcut to the text file which I put in my menu tool bar. 276 That gave me the advantage of making quicker changes for testing. But, don't let this fool you in any way that the designing process was quick and painless. Most of the time you'll find out that design anything is an extensive process. I agree with the idea of having an add on for Limewire that would allow real time editing, but now that I think about any wysiwyg html editor for example (Dreamweaver) could be quite useful. All you would need to do is create a webpage with tables and cells layed out like Limewires layout.

Now that I think about, that could easily be created right here in this forum. We don't even need an add on for Limewire. The Limewire team could set that up right in this forum for everyone to use.
