We've just released the LimeWire 4.13.13 Beta. Thanks to everyone's help, we've put these last few betas through some heavy tests, and we're confident that that 4.13.13 is ready for primetime. We're likely going to release this beta as the next major version (with some very minor changes, as necessary).
Please download the beta at: http://www.limewire.com/download/betaversion.php . Give it a whirl and let us know if you run into anything unusual. PRO users can download it from their personal download page.
You can download the latest Beta for all versions of Windows, OS X 10.4+, Linux (RPM & DEB), and a zipped package for OS/2, Solaris and others.
We're going to deprecate packaging in RPM format for the next release, and will be offering a page from which people on older OS's (Mac OS9, OS X 10.1 - 10.3) can get the latest version available for their platform.
A changelog for 4.13.12 and 4.13.13 will be coming shortly.
Thanks everyone for your incredible help with this beta series. LimeWire wouldn't be where and what it is without you. And, we have some exciting ideas in store for the next major release. :)
Thanks,
The LimeWire Team

Salut Sam, there is one bug in Ubuntu. Limewire makes Firefox upgrades impossible and they fail. This means that every browser using gecko on Ubuntu cannot launch afterwards (Epiphany et al). This happened since 4.13.10 I believe and I had to fix it for Firefox 2.0.0.5 and 2.0.0.6 bugfix releases. The limewire.js that LW installs in /usr/lib/mozilla/prefs/ is the culprit. Either it doesn't belong there or the permissions are problematic. To fix the situation, you have to remove from the command line (sudo rm) limewire.js and uninstall LW. Firefox installs fine afterwards.
Ciao

We've either already fixed the issue, or are aware of it and it should be fixed in the next 4.14 service release. See: https://www.limewire.org/jira/browse/INSTALL-66 .

Yes, and at startup. I haven't had errors while LW is running after start up yet.

Thanks, you are sure fast tonight. Congratulations for the 4.14 release. The Nullpointer error wasn't in 4.13.x series, but I'm not sure I've used 4.13.13 before 4.14, but it wasn't in 4.13.11 and 4.13.12.

Sam,
You make it sound as if anyone using RedHat, Fedora, SuSE, Mandriva, CentOS or any other RPM based system must be using an old, outdated operating system. Personally, I'm using Mandriva's 2007 Spring version and would be happy to purchase an RPM version if its available. With so many Linux distributions based on the RPM package format (many more than what I've mentioned here), please consider bringing the RPM format back making it easy for us to buy.
All the best,
Steve

Does this happen every time? If not, do you remember if the computer like slowed down a little bit right after you double-clicked the file?
