Downloading problems

Ok, I have downloaded and installed LW a million time, and everytime, I go through the whole download process( I actually see all the screens, saying sucessful and all that). But once its all done, I go to get in, by clicking on the shortcut on my desktop, and It trys for a split second and then nothing. No error message, or anything. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek:
