Hi all
Since before 4.14.7 (basic and Pro) and up to 4.14.8, I've been seeing the GUI freeze in OS X when downloading images from a "What's New" (Image) search. I've probably seen at least one a day for the last few weeks.
I've tried to find a pattern, but neither kill -quit <pid> nor any of Activity Monitor's kill options have been able to generate a stack trace.
So, all I can say is that about every second time I try to download an image search, the gui freezes.
some suspicions about factors:
--slow machine? 400 Mhz PPC G4 OSX Server 10.4.10
--the freeze has happened when the "You are already downloading a file of the same name" dialog tries to come up, but this dialog is usually very sluggish anyway.
--the VMem allocation is often (but not always) close to 1 GB when this happens.
--uptime is often (but not always) more than a day
non-factors
--Ultrapeer. UP mode has been turned off for months now (since mojito).
--number of files downloaded at once. Freeze has happened when attempting 40 files at once; but all worked correctly once with 303 files.
Anyways, here's a stack trace after restarting from the latest freeze. Maybe it will help point out environment factors.
Cheers (grumpily)
