Connection Problems

[wondering why]

As you probably know, I help out at the Gnutella Forums...

We are having a lot of sudden connection problems since the 4.14.10 update...
Members are saying that their Limewire was working fine until the update and now they cannot connect...
We have suggested all of the usual fixes, ie. Java, preference folders, port forwarding and so on but with no avail for many...

Also another problem we are seeing a lot of is downloading, they have full connection and no firewall, their Licence box is not ticked, but many have not been able to successfully download any files...
We thought it may have to do with fake hosts and have suggested the fixes for that, but again with many no luck...

Another issue is XX amount of hosts, downloading fine and then whilst still connected to the hosts they will see 0KB and it then doesn't move from there...

Just wondering if you know of any fixes we are not aware of...

Well if the limewire developers don't know why and what causes these problems, who does ??

I would guess that some questions don't have known answers already.
