Hey guys, im using Vista atm and been using Limewire for awhile now.

Just turned on comp and now i realised Limewire is no where to be found. Tried seach function and nothing came up. Wandering how it disappaered out of nowhere? ITs just completely gone and wiped from the comp and noone else has used my comp
I'm hoping its got nothing to do with virus/trojan/hacking related. Ran scans nothing came up

Any suggestions?
Thanks

In Vista, some things you install or download in one account are invisible to other accounts. Did you use another account?

If not that, then what security software Microsoft and others, are installed?

Hi theres only one account for vista i use and thats the admin one
The case of protection, i use AVG, and simply vistas firewall, its defenders and also adaware

Is there a way for me to check some log on the computer with what has been removed etc?

Thanks

Check the Microsoft Defender and AdAware. Either one could have deleted it.

Update AVG and run a full scan too, in case a worm or trojasn took advantage of
your admin account to delete LimeWire. Some of those delete your downloads too.

It's generally best to save the admin account for those rare occasions when you
really need it because invaders get full access if you are always logged in as an admin.

How do i check with mircosoft defender and adaware if they deleted it?
Thanks
So i presume this isnt a problem related to limewire?

Nope, no self destruct here. That's exclusively a Microsoft feature. ;]

AdAware has logging and a quarantine zone, so try both, and Defender is based on
the old PestPatrol app, so it will probably still have them too.

As a last resort you could reinstall LimeWire. Odds are the settings folder wasn't
erased so it should work right away.
