I'm aware but not very knowledgable that LW will download partials of updates from others or something to that effect & store itself in the LW prefs folder. I don't understand this very well obviously so excuse my description. But I'm wondering if this contributes to LW Pro being shared around the network for those who don't have it in the 1st place!? Since LW has the option to share immediately downlded files, does this potentially mean LW pro partials can be shared at the same time ... many partials make a whole. So if someone searches pro, they can download it from multiple sources for each partial. Not necessarily from people who are sharing the whole program. I presume this has been investigated!? Sorry if my post sounds a little vague. Is my meaning clear?

LW Pro downloads aren't pushed into the network -- only LW Basic is. LW Pro is shared by folks putting Pro into their shared folder.

But I have found partials in my prefs folder using win pro. But that was a while back. I haven't checked lately. If these were basic updates, then perhaps that's why I had more than one version sitting there that might not have been used. I see the logic about Pro not using the online installation.

Yeah, they were basic.
