music requests

have just logged on joined limewire and am still finding my way around
is there somewhere within the forums where either artists songs or albums
are requested as i have a fair music collection from the 70s onwards so i never sure of what to put onto my folders that may help someone who may be looking for that rare song or album

Hi cudd, and welcome to Limewire.

No, there is nowhere to make or take requests, and specific requests relating to anything that might be copyrighted are, in particular, not permitted in these forums.

What I suggest you do is share a cross section of what you have, to start with and see how things go and if you notice a pattern of what is being uploaded, by using the Monitor window and setting completed uploads not to clear automatically, then you can alter your share accordingly. There is also a chat function built in to Limewire, so ensure that it is enabled in Tools > Options > Chat.

This can let you make contact with other hosts, BUT it is not very reliable for many reasons so if you make contact with another host consider it the exception rather than the rule.
