Hi,
Two questions, if I may:
1. What installation procedures should I follow when installing LW5-RC1? .... Should I uninstall LW 4.18.8 first or can I just install over my current LW configuration?
2. Are you experiencing any major problems with "5RC1" on Windows Vista 64 based operating systems, which would render Limewire useless?
Thank you for your anticipated reply.

LimeWire always does the uninstall for you.

LimeWire always does the uninstall for you.
Yes, I know, but quite often Betas don't follow the same rules, especially if they contain major differences such as this version is supposed to have. That's why I felt it necessary to ask first.
Thanks for letting me know. :)

It works and I've even given away my first upload. LOL. It only took me about 15 minutes to setup the Options and Library interface columns to the presentation display that I like.
I can't wait to share with friends.
Good work Limewire peeples! :D
<two thumbs up!>

I'm just the face on the forums -- there's a ton of guys here that did excellent work. We actually (as of a few minutes ago) talked about making a blog post that detailed the crazy amounts of work that went into it. So more info should be up soon. :)

Excellent! I'd love to read and participate in the blog. I've just had 6 uploads running at once and it's not even prime-time. These peeple are hungry! LOL.
I'm only offering 160 files to share, music and videos, mostly FLV videos.
Get that blog up! .... Please. :)

Another 3 uploads completed. Maybe I'm the only one online! LOLROTF!
.... And if I had a "wish list," I'd make two small changes:
1. I'd love to see an uploads arrow alongside the downloads arrow within the bottom status bar.
--- and ---
2. I'd like to see, "End of packet" within the uploads instead of "Done Uploading" at the end of each packet. I would try to reserve the "Done Uploading" designation only for the final packet. I'm not sure if that's possible because I don't have any programming knowledge, but these wishes are minor.
Major Kudos to all of you who have created "The New and Improved Limewire!" :)
BTW, I love the NYC background and the "squeezing the limes" prompt! Very funny. It brings a smile to my face. :D

Observation:
The last packet of every file takes is taking a very long time to close-out, before the uploading is complete. I have observed this in ALL of the 13 files that have been uploaded during the past 90 minutes.
My connection speed is broadband cable (15.3 mbps download, 2.1 mbps upload).
I'm estimating that it takes about 1 minute to closeout that last packet. Not a problem (to be sure), but some users might cancel their download if they think that they've been disconnected from the source.
NEVER MIND .... LOL. That observation must be because the person doing the downloading has a poor connection. I've just had another 5 files uploaded and they all went instantaneously!
