View Full Version : How to download more then 10 at the same time

Hi,

I can only download 10 files at the same time. In the options i can't set the value higher then 10 files. How can i set this higher?

Go to: Tools > Options > Advanced > Transfers
From there, you can set the # of downloads at once :)

yes, I know, but like a said, you can't set it higher then 10 files.

That does seem too low for Pro. It's the same in the free version, assuming we are both
looking at version 5. I thought it would be higher in Pro. Maybe it's a bug or an oversight.

We limited simultaneous downloads to 10 because we've found that LimeWire performs better when there's less active downloads. I suppose we can raise the cap a little -- but some people set it to an absurdly high number, and that's a common cause for errors. What number do you use?

Oops thought this was a bug. But upload slot capacity is 50. Seems like a big difference. Only via using old LW prefs was I able to beat the download slots cap of 10 using LW. I've had over 20 simultaneous downloads using LW 4 without issues. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/general-vista-support/90757-max-downloads.html

Seems there's issues with changing Download Location also. Seems can only be achieved via File Categories. http://forum.limewire.org/showthread.php?t=5755 which makes the 'Options -> Downloads > Save Downloads To:' option irrelevant & an option with zero effect.
