This is my first post and first report, so bear with me if I leave out any info.

While attempting to download a file, my Norton anti-virus blocked the trojan from loading on my computer. Here is the info:

risk: virus
definitions version: 2009.02.03.003
risk level: high

Dowload details:

name: Black Sabbath - Psycho Man 1998.wma

Hash: urn:sha1:HWXJ3OAZ5Z6RBEHHMUOBUTX6MOFAPOZR

type: audio

size: 58.9 KB (60,301 bytes)

length: 0:01

bitrate: 271 kbps

I'm not sure what other info to include, but wanted to make sure it was reported.

I'm not entirely sure if they can do anything about it.

Just make sure you have Norton running at all times and watch for what you download and mark the files as spam when you encounter them.

I feel bad for those 13 peers that have the file, but of course not the ones that upload the file!

If they can do something about it, they should think about making a thread for reporting viruses to make the download environment a more safer place! :)

I find these reports useful because I can scan for and harvest them, submitting the bad files to Bitzi and
adding the infected hosts to my [Hostiles List] (http://www.technutopia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=240). ;]

Oh yes, there it is. I nailed that one last April.
Might as well add the current hosts to the blocklist… ;]

When in doubt, try this site. It scans with all the major antivirus programs:
Jotti's malware scan (http://virusscan.jotti.org/)
It's a great way to see how your antivirus compares to the competition too.

Get used to seeing a LOT of these reports- all 4 music downloads I did today
were halted by BitDefender before they even finished. I deleted the files and
entries- I'll start saving the info and forwarding it.
