OS X: How does loginStarup work on Mac?

Hey peeps,

I've been trying to figure out how LimeWire handles the auto start of the program. I see that the "Limewire at Login.app" isn't all that complicated, rather simple in fact, but I'm finding it hard to understand how the OS knows to boot that file at login.

Can you guys help me understand this mystery a bit better?

There's some native code to add it to your login items.

Thanks Sam, I just noticed this when playing around with the installer. So I'll take a look through the code to figure that part out a bit better.

What's the purpose of the companion app, the "LimeWire at Login.app" then?

I think it's a legacy from an older time -- we need to revise the OS X installation package anyway. :-)
