The post says it all. This person is unable to share for reasons specified, yet they have no option to disable the option of partial file sharing.

There may also be other reasons people do not wish to share 'some' files they are downloading, be it partial file sharing or immediately after downloading.

Edit: I guess I should add to this, that some people prefer not to share files immediately or partial file sharing until they have verified their downloaded files are ok, not spam or viruses or corrupted, etc.

Partial sharing is now tied to "share downloaded files". Having two options was confusing, so we made it one. If you want to share files you download, it'll now be done while it's downloading and after it's done. If you don't, it won't share at either time.

I've never enabled partial file sharing... just because I want to check out the file & it's quality before I share it.
For instance - a file might show with a 320 bitrate but when you play it, the volume's awful & it has skips & pops all though it. So maybe someone's got hold of a really horrible file & encoded that again at 320 bitrate... very easy to do. So it looks good in search results, but when you listen to it, it's a disaster. Who wants to share crap??

At the moment, 'Share files downloaded from the P2P network with the P2P network' looks a bit vague to me... people (especially those who've used LW 4 in the past & have had the option to not share partial files) might assume that they're not sharing partial files...they might assume that once the whole file's downloaded then it's shared.

I think that people need to have a clear choice about whether they share partial downloads or not:)

You do have a clear choice -- "Share downloaded files from the P2P Network with the P2P Network". Splitting that choice up to two is not only confusing, it's unnecessary. And besides, the FTC told us they'd prefer it this way. We agree. Might as well make'm happy if it's a good request.
