alright so before this happened i downloaded 8 .mp3s no problem. after that it happened on the next file i downloaded (.avi) and they all still say "downloading from (4,2,1) hosts" at 0KB/s. but then the next file (.avi) it worked!? the thing is though it took FOREVER to "verify file contents" like 2 or 3 seconds per percent. the file is 412 MB but 720 MB files only take 4 or 5 seconds to verify. i have a really nice computer by the way, and 180KB/s DSL. good luck with this one..

I've seen the 99% problem, we'll fix it before the next beta. Not sure what's up with the long time to verify file contents though. Let me know if that happens again.

thanks for the response, yeah the 99% thing happens in about 1/2 of my movie downloads and when i restart limewire the file "downloads" for another couple minutes and completes, even though the final file size is the same. hope that helps you...

Just to be clear, because your posts are skirting the edge, to use LimeWire you must agree to this question (http://www.limewire.com/english/content/downloadfree.shtml). We're not interested in helping copyright infringement.

A few things you could do to help us nail down the 99% problem:
1. Whenever you get one of your downloads stuck at 99%, kill all other downloads and leave only the stuck one running.
2. Go to View->Show/Hide->Enable the "Console" option. This will create a new tab named "Console".
3. Go to the Console tab. At the bottom there is a large combo box. Click on it and select com.limegroup.gnutella.downloader.*. To the right of that Combo box there is another one that should show "OFF". Change that to "ALL" and hit "Apply".
4. Text will start appearing in the white space in the middle of the tab. Leave LimeWire alone for about 30 seconds.
5. Hit the "Save" button and save the file "limewire-log.txt" somewhere. Then upload this file to us and we'll analyze it. If you are concerned about your privacy, email the file directly to us.
6. You can help us even further and don't mind us knowing what file you are downloading. Go to the Incomplete folder and email us the "downloads.dat" file. (Do not upload it to the forum.)

zab: just emailed you a .zip of the incomplete folder (the log.txt is inside).
This was only the second time (out of about 700 successful download) a file "stuck" while using 4.11.4 this weekend. I tried pausing and resuming, deleting from the downloads pane and redownloading, and resuming from the Library, but to no avail. The first time the only thing that worked was deleting the download from the incomplete folder and starting from scratch again.
For this second file, I've been downloading other files from that host for a few hours, both before and after this one stuck file.

Here's another example of a file that won't complete.

You probably have to ask Zab.
Any email address left out in the open is spam bait.

ouch!! so this is a familiar problem; i am looking at a 99% download of a 3 gig file, but it seems that it will never complete the task...

update: after looking at the 99% for almost an entire day, it says: complete! Finally! Now I have to see if the s/w is OK but fortunately I am one step further!

This bug is also showing up under XP Pro in LW 4.14.12 Pro (non Beta) for me on non-Torent files with a 25% or so incidence rate. The download eventually comletes, but often not without a restart of LW.
