I can confirm, that after much manual search I also found the themes folder !!!

C:\Users\USERNAME \AppData\Roaming\Limewire\themes

I have Windows set to show hidden and system files and it still did not find this location !!
Does anyone know why themes is put in the Roaming folder ?

It is just the name of the folder where Vista likes to keep such stuff ..

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc766489.aspx

The themes folder is a part off the Limewire preference/appdata folder and needs to be there to function.

If you are using Limewire 5 themes are not supported. If you have Limewire 4 please post back.

Your problem is really complicated. Does your java software support your lime wire ?You can check it out on computersystemsdirectory.com.

Get it checked from a computer shop if still it gives you problem.

Where to Install Your Skin

When downloading a skin via your browser, right click the link and "Save As". Save the file to one of the following folders:
  • On Windows:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator (or) yourusername\Application Data\Limewire\themes
  • On Vista:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire\themes
  • On Mac OSX:
    Macintosh HD\Users:yourusername\Library\Preferences\LimeWire \Themes
  • On Mac Classic:
    System Folder\Preferences\.limewire\themes
Also..

If you cant find your 'themes' folder, this is the easiest way to locate it as there are different instructions for some LimeWire versions and Operating Systems (so we'll keep it simple).

First you have to unhide your Files & Folders as M$ likes to keep interesting stuff secret

Go to Start > Search (this will open your search window)

Go to Tools > Folder Options > View > Tick 'show hidden files & folders' & Uncheck: 'hide extensions for known file types'

Enter your search criteria using *.lwtp and choose your C: Drive... Hit Search.. This should now show the complete path where your skins are located.

If the file is a .zip file, you will need to change the extension from .zip to .lwtp by the following method which is supplied by 'bromber' - thanks for your contribution.

[/b][/color]When your skin is installed... in LimeWire... go to View > Apply Skins > Refresh Skins. Then you should see your skin
