[wondering why]

Hi All...
I just went to download my first torrent file since upgrading to 4.13.6 and I keep receiving an error window stating that Limewire either does not have the permission to download the file or the file is malformed..

I tried several different torrents all with the same error...

I then re-installed 4.13.2 and the torrent connected straight away and I'm downloading off of 200+ hosts...

Any help on why 4.13.6 is doing this ???

Do the torrents have any foreign characters in their names? Or in the name of any of the files and folders they contain?

Does this happen immediately after the torrent starts, or towards the end?

Could you turn logging in on the console in...
com.limegroup.bittorrent.tracking.*
com.limegroup.bittorrent.ManagedTorrent and
com.limegropu.bittorrent.TorrentManager
...before the error hits?

(You might need to run one torrent once for the entries to show up in the Console.)

This is immediately after open.

I set one of them, maybe TorrentManager?, then downloaded and LW started a .torrent file, canceled ,then I set the two other, but the setting of tracking.* was followed by 100 % CPU usage of LW. After this everything happens very slow. There was no lines on the console log when I opened the torrent with the "malformed" error. Here I made the first log. Then I opened the previously successful torrent, LW Started to resume it, and I again canceled download, then I tried to open the second torrent, again unsuccessfully. Here I made the second log. The 3rd log is about com.limegroup.gnutella.*

Yep, I get the error msg too. I tried a couple different torrent sites. Thought maybe LW had been banned.

I don't think, there was some successful download when I downloaded the .torrent files with LW.

But may be you are right. Some trackers banned LW, others not.
