Lightbulb File Size Filter!

Sam I was wondering if you ever put into consideration a filter to go along with the junk filter. The filter would only go for specific files. Then LimeWire would remove all of those files that size. Such as 851.7 Kb is a common one. Just type that in and LimeWire won't show anything that size!

How about a filter that comes preinstalled with the hashes of all the spam and
worms in existence? Of course, it would be self-updating as well.

The file size filter is asked for SO often in the Gnutella forums, that I feel very strongly it would be good if only as a public relations excercise to have one included Is there any particular reason that so many requests for this have appeared to go unheeded? Speaking as a non expert in the field of development, is there some particular reason in the way LW is built that prevents this?

It'll come. We've just been busy with other stuff. Vote for the file size filter JIRA issue. The more people that vote for issues, the better we can see what's important to folks.

Judge ... vote for it ... follow Sam's link. The Jira issues are, sadly, largely neglected [by users], and they should not be

Default I'll just say it here...

I'd like to see a file size search filter in Limewire.

You can see every JIRA issue by going to limewire.org/jira. We use it for managing all our ongoing issues, features, and bugs. Things in JIRA aren't neglected, we just have to prioritize what we're working on and what we're not.

Default There will never be a file size filter!

It seems unlikely there will ever be a file size filter. there are obvious monetary reasons such an easy addition has not yet been implemented.

And what would those reasons be? It certainly wouldn't cost a lot of money to do it.

Maybe you could make some filters, like Aaron's and a file size filter, and make a little list in the options menu, under the filters section, and you can choose which filters you want.
