To save some frustration
, before you do anything else, make sure that your hidden folders are uncovered. Here is how to do that for Windows XP. 1. First, to uncover hidden files like “Application Data”, you need to go to My Computer; Click Tools; Click Folder options; Click on View and then click the bullet next to “Show Hidden Files and Folders”. 2. Find a theme you like. Right click and click Save Target As. At this point, you will browse until you come to a filepath that looks like this. C:/Documents and Settings/YOURNAME/Application Data/Limewire/Themes This is where you save your chosen theme. For this example, we will call our theme Red. 3. Now you need to convert the Red theme .zip file to a folder. Hopefully, you have WinZip. If not, well, get it. J Anyways, extract the file to the Themes folder. Right click the .zip folder and click extract to C:/Documents and Settings/YOURNAME/Application Data/Limewire/Themes Once you have your theme folder, the real fun begins. 4. At this point, I closed Winzip, then reopened it to have a fresh start for the next step. 5. Open the Red Theme Folder, hit Ctrl A to select all the folders and then drag them over to WinZip. WinZip will prompt you to add the files. THIS is where you remove the end / on the file name and replace it with .lwtp ; then hit ADD. ***If having trouble changing from .zip to .lwtp Locate the folder “Red Theme” using windows explorer. Highlight the file then single right click. This will open a window --- got to properties and left click This will open another window --- where it says -- attributes: Read Only --- make sure this box is unchecked. If it is checked, uncheck it and click apply. Then try and rename it. Hope this was helpful. I had to dig through tons of threads to figure it out. Bleh! ![]()
