Default Number of users connected.

I ran the limewire application using Eclipse to connect to Gnutella network successfully.

I am able to download the files requested at search button.

Apart from this, I would like to know how many number of users are connected to this network on every day.

How and where could I get this information from?

There really is no source for this, atleast not readily available in the program. The best way is to crawl the network, although I don't recommend doing it too often. We used to do a nightly crawl and posts the results, but the machine the crawl ran on died a miserable death, and the crawler was so old that we couldn't get it to run again on any other machine. We've written a few others, but haven't really had the time to set up the scripts that will generate the chart & pictures.

The last crawl I ran (about a week ago) showed approximately 3 million leafs and 1 million ultrapeers.
